Cookie Policy
This site sets no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything.
Short version
Under the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet, art. 11.7a) and the EU ePrivacy rules, cookies that are not strictly necessary require your prior consent. Strictly necessary cookies — session, security, load balancing — do not.
This website currently uses neither. There is no analytics package, no advertising pixel, and no third-party embed. Your theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and never leaves your device.
That is a deliberate choice: no banner, no dark pattern, nothing to dismiss before reading a page.
Categories
What could be set, and what actually is
| Category | Used here | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | None | Session and security — not required for this site | Not required |
| Preferences | None | Theme is kept in local storage, not a cookie | Not required |
| Analytics | None | No analytics package is installed | Would be required |
| Marketing | None | No advertising or retargeting tags | Would be required |
If this table changes, the page changes with it — the list is kept in sync with what the site actually loads.
If we add analytics
The rules we would follow
Consent before loading
No analytics script would load before an explicit choice. Rejecting would be as easy as accepting, in the same layer, with no pre-ticked boxes.
Or no banner at all
The alternative is cookieless, first-party measurement with truncated IPs and no cross-site identifiers — which the Dutch regulator treats as low-impact and does not require consent for.
Withdrawal
A permanent “Cookie settings” link in the footer would reopen the choice, and withdrawing would delete what was set.
Documentation
Each cookie would be listed here with its name, provider, purpose, and lifetime — not summarised as “cookies for a better experience”.
Legal note
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Because this site does not rely on them, blocking them will not change how it behaves.

FAQ
Do I need to click anything to use this site?
No. There is no consent banner because there is nothing non-essential to consent to. The site works identically whether or not you accept anything.
Will you add a banner later?
Only if we add analytics or marketing tags that require consent. If we do, the banner will offer accept and reject with equal prominence, and nothing non-essential will load before you choose.
Does the contact form set a cookie?
No. The form posts to our own API and stores the message server-side. It does not create a browser cookie or a session identifier.
